Artist Bio:

Kathy Hoets was born in Taipei (Taiwan) before she left for California when she was ten years old. She speaks fluent Mandarin, Taiwanese and English. After graduation from Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California, she worked in the family business as a fashion illustrator. In the eighties Kathy moved to New York City for a few years before moving to Geneva, Switzerland. She lived there for five years and worked mostly on ceramics and paintings. In the late nineties Kathy moved to Bali for three years and illustrated her first children’s book “Erik’s Garden in Bali.” Kathy is currently a member of the Silvermine Art Center in New Canaan, Connecticut where she lives with her family. Kathy works mostly on oil paintings, comprising nature scenes and nudes.
